Dirtbags Take On Alumni On Saturday At Blair Field

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Dirtbag baseball from the past and present will be on display on Saturday at Blair Field for the annual Alumni Game. The day will feature two games with an Old Timers game in the morning and the 2015 Dirtbags scrimmaging the alumni at 2 p.m.
The alums, as always, will be coached by Jim Yogi. He will plenty of weapons to lineup against the Dirtbag team. Among the many alums lined up to participate in the game are Shane Peterson and Adam Wilk. Both will be in Major League camps when spring training opens next month. Former major leaguers Brad Davis, Mike Gallo and Abe Alvarez are rumored to be in attendance as is current Cleveland Indians reliever Bryan Shaw.
The alumni team will also feature 15 players from the past three years, including 11 who have spent time in the minor leagues since their departure from the Beach.
The game is free and open to the public.
