Songs, Fun At Annual Student-Athlete Barbeque

Athletics staff, coaches and student-athletes gathered in the Walter Pyramid for the annual student-athlete barbeque, getting everyone together to celebrate the start of the 2014-15 season.
Among the festivities were a 49er trivia contest for freshman, catered food from Naples Rib Company, and the highlight of the evening a "Motown" themed Karaoke contest with costumes, choreography, and of course singing, with each team picking a song to sing as a group.
The winners on the evening were Men's Water Polo and Women's Volleyball, who tied with the top score from the judges. Sporting white T-Shirts, ties and fronted by Devin Mefford, Men's Water Polo performed "Shout" while Sherridan Atkinson of Women's Volleyball was the lead singer with strong choreography in their version of "I Want You Back."
