Women's Volleyball To Have Five Home Matches On ESPN3

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State women’s volleyball team will appear five times on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app, the Big West Conference announced on Wednesday. All five broadcast contests will be at home in the Walter Pyramid.
The first time the Beach appears on ESPN3 will be on Oct. 4 when CSUN, one of the 2013 conference tri-champions, visits for a 7 p.m. match. One week later, Hawaii’s visit to the Pyramid will be broadcast on ESPN3 as well. The third team of the tri-champions, UC Santa Barbara, visits Nov. 15 with the game being broadcast on ESPN3.
The final match to be broadcast will be one of the final matches of the season when UC Irvine visits the day before Thanksgiving, Nov. 26. The match will mark the end of the volleyball program schedule announced by the Big West this week.
In all, 11 women’s volleyball and two women’s soccer contests will comprise the fall slate in year two of a unique collaboration between the Big West and ESPN to produce up to 60 events annually on ESPN3.
All nine conference schools will be featured at least once in the package.
