2015 Leadoff Weekend To Take Place Jan. 29-31

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Come celebrate the start of the 2015 Long Beach State Dirtbags season at the annual Leadoff and Alumni Weekend Jan. 29-31, 2015. The weekend's festivities include the Leadoff Dinner, Golf Tournament and Alumni Game.
This year's keynote speaker for the Leadoff Dinner on Thursday, Jan. 29 will be current San Francisco Giant and World Series champion Matt Duffy. Duffy is the latest Dirtbag to make his MLB debut after getting the call last summer to join the Giants. Duffy played a key role off the bench in helping the Giants win their third World Series in the last five years.
The cost to attend the Leadoff Dinner is $100 per person, which includes dinner and drinks. The dinner takes place on the floor of the Walter Pyramid.
Alumni and supporters of the Dirtbags will tee of the next day in the annual golf tournament at Recreation Golf Course, which is right next to Blair Field. The entry fee into the tournament is $175 and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch on the course and tee prizes in addition to the awards dinner and opportunity drawing.
