Oct. 20, 2014 Long Beach, Calif. - LONG BEACH, Calif. - Freshman Ashley Murray was a double winner of conference honors, earning Big West Freshman of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week after helping the 49ers improve to 6-0 last weekend in Big West action.
Murray averaged over two kills per set while adding one dig and 1.43 blocks per set while hitting .407 as the 49ers dispatched UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly on the road, helping LBSU to its best start in Big West play since the 2001 season.
