Senior guard/forward James Ennis has been named a Lou Henson All-American, an honor which goes to 25 players at mid-major schools. Ennis had a banner senior year with the 49ers, earning Big West Player of the Year honors, Big West First-Team All-Conference accolades and a spot on the All-District IX team.
Joining Ennis on this year's list is UC Davis' Corey Hawkins.
Rather than assemble a first team, second team, third team and honorable mention; the Lou Heson All-America team is one squad consisting of 25 players.
Ennis is also a finalist for The Lou Henson Award, which is presented annually to the top Mid-Major player in Division I college basketball. The award is named in honor of Lou Henson who retired after a spectacular coaching career that lasted 41 years.
