STOCKTON, Calif. - Long Beach State sophomore Kevin Lee charged up the standings in Saturday's final round of the Pacific Invitational, firing a tournament low 9-under-par 62 to tie for second place at the Stockton Golf & Country Club.

LBSU posted its best round of the tournament with a 275, improving by six shots from its second round score of 281 to move up from fifth to place fourth. The 49ers completed the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a 9-under 843.

Forty-fifth ranked BYU (-26) captured the team championship by seven strokes over Santa Clara (-19) in second and 13 shots over UC Davis (-13) in third.

Lee's 62 tied the lowest score in LBSU men's golf history, as former 49er Ryan Panichpakdee scored a 10-under 62 in the final round of the 2006 Big West Conference Championship at Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita.

Lee carded an eagle on his second hole of the day on the front-nine, while collecting three birdies and four pars. The La Palma native recorded his only bogey of the round on the par-4 No. 9 hole. Lee made the turn onto the back-nine at 4-under as he scored four consecutive birdies starting from the 11th hole and would pickup an additional birdie and three pars to finish at 9-under.

Junior JJ Holen tied a career low with his final round of 69 to finish the tournament at 2-under 211, tying for 15th. Holen posted an eagle on his second hole of the round, while collecting three birdies, three bogeys and 11 pars.

Sophomore Daniel Chian fell in the standings to tie for 19th after carding a 77 to finish with an even 213.

Freshman Andrew Stanfield recorded a career low 69 to tie for 41st at 6-over 219, while fellow classmate Agostino Milazzo shot a 75 to place 49th at 10-over.

BYU's Joe Parkinson won individual medalist with a 13-under 200, winning by five shots over three players tied for second.
