IRVINE, Calif. - Kevin Lim birdied the par-5 18th hole in the final round of the Anteater Invitational at Shady Canyon Country Club to capture his first career individual title and lead No. 39-ranked Long Beach State to a second straight team championship and a record fifth this year.

LBSU shot a final round score of 293 to finish the two-day, 54-hole tournament at 10-over 862. The 49ers won by eight strokes over St. John's (+18) in second and 12 shots over San Jose State (+22) in third. Tournament host UC Irvine placed fifth at 32-over.

Going into the last hole of the final round, senior Kevin Roy led the field of 51 players by one stroke over Lim. Roy was in the last group to finish the tournament. Lim made birdie with a 1-under 70, while a few minutes later Roy had double-bogeyed the 18th, giving Lim his first individual medalist.

Lim completed the tournament at 1-under 212, while Roy tied for second with San Jose State's Jay Myers with an even-213. This is Lim's fourth consecutive top-five finish and fifth overall, while this is Roy's second consecutive top-10 and 10th overall.

Junior Philip Chian carded a 72 for a 2-over 215, tying for seventh. Chian posted three birdies and 11 pars to record his first top-10 this year and third overall.

Junior Raymond Ho shot a 79 to tie for 41st at 22-over 235.

LBSU returns to the course April 29-May 1, for the Big West Conference Men's Golf Championship at the La Quinta Resort Mountain Course.
