LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Big West Conference announced today that ESPN2 will broadcast the Long Beach State-UC Santa Barbara game on Saturday, February 26, from the Walter Pyramid. The game will tip off at 5 p.m.
The game will be the second Long Beach State game to be carried on the network in as many weeks as ESPN selected the 49ers BracketBusters game against Montana on Saturday, Feb. 19, to be carried on the network. LBSU has also had two other games broadcast on ESPNU, including the conference opener at UC Santa Barbara on Dec. 28. The 49ers won that game 71-55.
Long Beach State currently leads the Big West Conference with an 8-2 league record, while UCSB sits in sixth, one game out of second, with a 4-5 record. The 49ers have this weekend off and will return to action Thursday, Feb. 10, at UC Davis. LBSU's next home game is Wednesday, Feb. 16, against UC Riverside.
