Tip-Off Dinner coming up on Thursday

Long Beach, Calif. - The Long Beach State Tip-Off Dinner is just around the corner, as the 49ers welcome their fans to start the season with them on Thursday, November 3 at 6 p.m. in the Goldmine.
An annual event, the Tip-Off Dinner is a chance for fans to meet the players of both the men's and women's basketball teams, as well as getting an opportunity to hear the head coach of each program, Dan Monson and Jody Wynn, introduce their teams for what should be a very exciting 2010-11 season.
Long Beach State's men's team returns nearly the entire roster, including a senior class of four starters in defending Big West Player of the Year Casper Ware, Larry Anderson, Eugene Phelps, and T.J. Robinson as the 49ers look to defend their regular-season Big West Championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament.
The women's program features a lot of young talent, as the 49ers look to compete in the Big West with a fresh outlook under coach Wynn. Senior Tipesa Moorer is a returning starter that will join a group of talented underclassmen as Long Beach State looks to surprise many in the Big West.
