Basketball coaches tour begins Wednesday at the Beach Club

The fourth-annual Weekly Wednesday Basketball Coaches Tour begins Wednesday at the Beach Club Sports Bar and Grill in Long Beach. The first tour stop will feature head men's coach Dan Monson and head women's coach Jody Wynn as they dine, laugh and even serve the occasional cocktail while previewing the highly-anticipated 2010-11 seasons for both squads.
The Beach Club will be offering half-priced select appetizers and discounted bar drinks for all 49er fans in attendance.
The tour will cover four local restaurants over a five-week period spanning from Wednesday to October 13. Admission cost is free for fans that bring a guest that is not a current season ticket holder for men's or women's basketball. Any season ticket holder, donor, or supporter that brings a non-season ticket holder guest will also receive a Long Beach State gift.
Long Beach State prizes will be awarded weekly with two grand prizes to be awarded at the completion of the community tour. Grand prizes include a trip for two to the men's basketball game at Washington and a trip for two to a women's basketball game this season. All attendees are entered to win, but must check-in at the Long Beach State table at each location.

• Wednesday, October 6 - Duke's, 317 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach
• Wednesday, October 13 - Legends, 5236 E. 2nd Street, Long Beach
