CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - For the third straight year, Long Beach State women's senior golfer Lindsey McAtee (Poway, Calif.) was selected to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for Division I, II and III.
A total of 494 women's collegiate golfers received the prestigious award this year. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II and III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
McAtee, an exercise science major, helped the 49ers to a second place finish at the Big West Conference Championship in San Luis Obispo, beating out No. 43 ranked UC Irvine for the second straight season. McAtee recorded one top-20 finish as she tied for 15th at the Big West Championship and was named Honorable Mention All-Big West.
McAtee finished the season with a stroke average of 77.35 as she competed in six of eight tournaments for The Beach.
