Caitlin Ledoux named first-team All-West Region

Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State's Caitlin Ledoux was named as a first-team AVCA All-West Region selection on Tuesday, honoring a fine season that saw Ledoux lead the 49ers in kill and service aces. With her selection, Ledoux is now eligible for All-America honors.
Ledoux was one of top 14 players chosen out of the Western Athletic, Mountain West, and Big West Conferences that make up the West Region. The junior outside hitter led the 49ers to their 24th consecutive NCAA appearance while leading Long Beach State with 464 kills on the season, averaging 3.80 kills per set, good for fourth in the Big West.
Ledoux also led the 49ers in service aces with 23, and served as a primary passer while making 2.49 digs per set on the season along with 66 total blocks on the year.
A native of Phelan, Calif., Ledoux was one of five players from the Big West that was named to the first-team All-West Region squad. AVCA All-American teams will be announced next week on Wednesday, December 15.
