LONG BEACH - Long Beach State women's golf coach Joey Cerulle has announced the signing of Bow-Kay Salotti (Palm Desert) and Monica Umpant (Cerritos) to National Letters of Intent.
"Bow-Kay and Monica makes us extremely deep for next year," Cerulle said. "Having the returnees coming and now these two incoming freshman who will push everyone else on this team to become that much better. Both of these two have an opportunity to play right away as I see that they have the talents available to do that. They will help us make a good impact for next year."

Coach Cerulle says: "Monica comes to Long Beach with a multitude of experience as she's played all across the nation. She's got a load of experience that she brings to the table of being able to play on different types of golf courses across the nation and what it takes to be successful. Being a top-100 recruit, she's played against the best and continues to want to be the best. She's a homegrown girl being at Cerritos, which is nice to have someone close to Long Beach and understands what the city is all about and what the beach is all about. I look forward to her making an immediate impact as a freshman."

Coach Cerulle says: "Bo is the most athletic and probably the most driven individuals I've recruited during this class. She had a great upbringing and mentality. She's a grinder and more mentally stronger than anybody I've seen because of her background. She's a great team player and understands what it takes to be a leader. Her sheer commitment and desire is going to make her be successful here."
