Season Ticket Plans Announced for Soccer

LONG BEACH-- Back-to-back regular season Big West Champion Long Beach State Women's Soccer is offering season tickets for all 11 of its home matches for $40. Tickets can be purchased online at BY CLICKING HERE or by calling (562) 985-4949.
The 49ers return 10 of 11 starters, and much of the same nucleus which has set school-records for victories over the last three seasons for fifth-year Head Coach Mauricio Ingrassia.
The 20-match schedule features five NCAA Tournament teams and four conference champions. Ten of the 12 non-conference opponents had .500 or better records, led by 17-win BYU and 15-win Hawaii and San Diego.
The home opener is August 22 at 1 p.m. against Gonzaga (12-7-1 last year), while a four-match home stand begins on September 5 and runs through September 14, featuring Harvard (10-6-1), UNLV (11-5-5), Mountain West Champion and NCAA participant BYU (17-4-2) and Oregon (8-8-4).
The 49ers, who have gone 11-3-1 in the Big West over the past two seasons, open up conference play with UC Davis, at home on October 3. That begins another four-match home stand featuring the Aggies, Pacific, NCAA Tournament team, San Diego and Black and Blue Rivalry mate, UC Irvine.
The home schedule concludes with a single match against CS Northridge on October 26, in which up to 10 seniors will be playing in their final home match.The regular season concludes the next weekend on the Central Coast at UC Santa Barbara and at Cal Poly.
Other home matches include a scrimmage with San Diego State on August 16 at 5 p.m. and Oregon playing UC Riverside on September 12 at 3 p.m. (the second game is not included in the season ticket package).
The other NCAA Tournament teams on the schedule will be played in Honolulu on August 27 and 30, as the Wahine won the Western Athletic Conference, going 15-5-2, while Denver went 12-5-5 and won the Sun Belt; and at CS Fullerton on October 19.
The Big West Tournament, which LBSU has lost three-straight Semifinals at, begins on November 7. The NCAA Tournament begins on November 14.
