McAtee Named to NGCA All-American Scholar Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Freshman Lindsey McAtee (Poway) was named to the All-American Scholar Team by the National Golf Coaches Association on Wednesday. A total of 402 women's collegiate golfers from Division I, II and III were recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
McAtee, who was the top individual in four of the 10 tournaments the 49ers participated in this past season, had a scoring average of 80.56 in nine tournaments she played in. She posted one top-20 finish as she tied for 20th place at the Fresno State Invitational, shooting a 69-81. Posted her second best finish at the San Jose State Spartan Invitational as she tied for 38th with a three-round score of 236 (77-79-80). Concluded the 2007-08 campaign at the Big West Conference Championship in 28th.
