49ers in Argentina for Summer Tour

ARGENTINA--Long Beach State women's soccer summer tour to Argentina has led to some early successes, as the 49ers are a week into their trip to Argentina, playing three times to far.
Twice they have played the Argentinean National team, tying 1-1 and losing 3-0. The 49ers also beat Argentina's most famous club team, River Plate 1-0, a team that features 10 players on various national programs. Kristen Kiefer, who led the 49ers in scoring this past season, scored both of the team's goals.
The 49ers also visited with the U.S. Ambassador to Argentina, Earl Anthony Wayne, who saw the team play the Argentinean National Team as well.
