Morris Named Big West Conference Player of the Week

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Senior Donovan Morris has been named the Big West Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season and the fifth time in his two-year career at Long Beach State.
Morris earned the award after leading The Beach to a 76-71 win over Temple on Dec. 22. He sparked the 49ers to the win with 23 points, on 7-of-13 shooting, while grabbing a season-high nine rebounds and dishing out a season-best five assists.
Morris also earned player of the week honors on Nov. 25 and Dec. 6. He had a pair of player of the week honors as a junior as well.
