Beach Soccer is the first recipient of academic honors this year, as Lindsay Bullock was chosen for the CoSIDA District VIII Academic All-District Team presented by ESPN The Magazine. The award is given to 22 players throughout the West who represent both athletic and academic excellence.
In her sophomore year, Bullock is a Math Education major and holds a 3.59 cumulative GPA. The Manhattan Beach native also leads the 49ers with nine goals so far this year, and her 19 points are also the most on the team. She has two game-winning goals on the year, and is a perfect 1-for-1 in penalty kick attempts.
Bullock becomes the fourth 49er soccer player in the last two years to be honored by CoSIDA. Last season, both Hayley Bolt and Katelyn Quaresma earned All-District honors and Amanda Perry was an Academic All-America selection as well as taking first-team All-District honors in 2007.
