Morris named to CollegeHoops.Net Preseason All-America Team

Long Beach, Calif. - Donovan Morris has been named a CollegeHoops.net Preseason Mid-Major All-American.
Morris, a senior guard, was named to the websites honorable mention Mid-Major All-America Team after averaging a team-best 21.2 points and 5.2 rebounds as a junior last year. Morris earned first-team All-Big West honors last season after scoring nearly 34 percent of the 49ers points. He made 46.1 percent of his field goal attempts, 41. 7 percent of his 3-pointers and 84.7 percent of his free throws, while also finishing second on the team with 72 assists.
Morris will lead a young Beach team into the 2008-09 season. LBSU opens the schedule at BYU on Friday, Nov. 14 and then travels to Wisconsin on Nov. 16 before returning to Long Beach for its home opener against Weber State on Saturday, Nov. 22.
