Silos Named Big West Co-Player of the Week IRVINE—Long Beach State forward Kim Silos (Ontario) was named the Big West’s co-Player of the Week after tallying two goals and three assists for the champion 49ers (6-3-0) at the Oklahoma Sooner Classic over the weekend. Silos tallied two goals and an assist on Sunday in the team’s 5-0 win over North Texas in Norman, Okla., after tallying two assists to two Kristen Kiefer goals on Friday in the 5-1 win over Middle Tennessee. She also earned her second career offensive tournament MVP honor. The Big West’s reigning Offensive Player of the Year, currently leads the 49ers with 16 points, including a team-best five goals and team-leading six assists. Silos enters the weekend one assist away from second place all-time with 20 career assists, while her 24 career goals is just nine goals away from the all-time record.
