Junior Shoots A 7-Over 79

DAYTONA BEACH, FL-- Long Beach State's Kay Hoey shot a seven-over 79 in Tuesday's opening round of the 2007 NCAA Women's Golf Championships at the LPGA International Legends Course in Daytona Beach, FL. Hoey is tied for 73rd place after the opening round, which saw just eight of the 126 golfers shoot even par or less. UC Irvine's Selanee' Henderson stands in first place after shooting a three-under 69 on the 6,351-yard, par 72 course.

On the team front, USC is in first place with a 295 and UC Irvine is tied for seventh place with a 303. Round two takes place on Wednesday morning as the tournament runs through Friday.
