49ers Set to Host Vs Athletics Invitational FULL LBSU STATISTICS LONG BEACH, CA-- Long Beach State track and field will host the Vs Athletics Invitatational (formerly the Long Beach Invitational) on the Jack Rose Track on Saturday, April 14. FINAL HEAT SHEETS The 49ers feature 10 marks ranked in the top-40 nationally, led by Brent Gray's fifth-fastest and West regional-best time in the 100-meter and his 15th-fastest national 200-meter time. Jill Reynolds, the Big West leader in the pole vault, ranks 11th nationally, while Jennifer Onyeagbako has the 14th-longest discus in the nation. Gray and Robert Jennings, who is 18th in the discus and 35th in the hammer, are the only 49er athletes with multiple nation marks in the top-40. Alex Shaw and Kim Heinz, who continue to rank 1-2 in the javelin rank 21st and 24th, respectively in that event. Rounding out the national leaders, Alex Freitas is 20th nationally with the Big West's top mark in the 800-meter, while Ezra Kwong is 32nd in the shot put. All told the 49ers have nine marks on the men's side and 10 on the women's side ranked either first or second amongst Big West competitors. |
