49ers Stand In 12th Place At UNLV
Kay Hoey Tied For 4th Place

BOULDER CREEK, NV-- The 49er women's golf team is in 12th place after two rounds of the UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational being held at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder Creek, NV. The 49ers shot a 298 in Tuesday's second round after Monday's score of 300 (598). Brigham Young leads the team race with a 13-under 563. Indiana is second at 570 and Idaho third at 573.

Individually, junior Kay Hoey is tied for fourth place with a four-under 140 (69-71). Hoey is ranked #63 in the country in the latest indiviudal rankings. Beth Holtermann is tied tied for 23rd with a two over 146 (72-74) and freshman Brenda Chhuor is tied for 47th with a 151 (78-73), after shooting a one-over 73 on Tuesday. BYU's Rachel Newren leads the individual medalist race after posting a score of 137 (67-70) over the first two runds. Jodi Ewart of New Mexico stands in second place at 138 (68-70).

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Wednesday.
