Bolt Honored by City of Lakewood

Bolt Earns City of Lakewood Award LAKEWOOD, CA-- Long Beach State sophomore midfielder Hayley Bolt (Lakewood) was honored as the City of Lakewood's Soccer Player of the Year as part of that city's Hall of Fame ceremony on February 26. The ceremony will take place at The Centre at Sycamore Plaza starting at 6:30 p.m. with tickets going for $23 for adults and $13 for students. They can be purchased at the Lakewood City Hall. Bolt, the Big West Conference Midfielder of the Year, led the 49ers to its best season to day, at 14-5-1 and finished the season with eight goals and 20 points. The 49ers won their first-ever regular season conference title, going 5-1-1 in conference play. Bolt, a first team All-Big West selection, was also named first team All-West Region. Bolt, a Lakewood native, played for the Los Alamitos High School state champions in 2005 and was a member of the Olympic Development Program. The 49ers will hold its annual banquet on February 18 at The Reef in Long Beach. Tickets are $30 per person and available by calling (562) 985-4662. |
