49ers In Second Place At Oregon State Invitational
Hoey Tied For Second At 143

CORVALLIS, OR-- The 49er women's golf team is in second place after two rounds of the Salbasgeon Suites Invitational at Trysting Tree Golf Course in Corvallis, OR. The 49ers shot a two-over 290 in Monday's opening round and followed that with a 306 for a two-round score of 596. Denver is in first place at 586 with UC Davis holds down third at 602.

Individually, junior Kay Hoey is tied for second place after shooting a one-under 143 (71-72). Hoey is just one shot behind second round leader Stephanie Sherlock of Denver who shot a 142 (71-71). Senior Beth Holtermann is currently in seventh place with a 146 (71-75), while freshman Brenda Chhuor is tied for 33rd at 152 (72-80).

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
