Hasalikova Signs Financial Aid Agreement

LONG BEACH, CA -- Long Beach State women's volleyball head coach, Brian Gimmillaro, announced that Michaela Hasalikova has signed a Financial Aid Agreement, and will enroll in classes at Long Beach State for the 2006-07 school year.

Haslikova, a junior, is a 6-3 Middle Blocker from Vsetin, Czech Republic.

"We've been recruiting her over the past year, and we are very happy that she signed with us," said Gimmillaro. "She will make a big impact on our team after her adjustment to the American game. She is a very strong Middle Blocker."

Hasalikova earned championships with Kralovo Pole-Brno in the Women's 1st Liga in 2003-04 and 2005-06, and was a juniors champion in 2001-02.

Long Beach State begins the 2006 season August 25 vs. Missouri from the Walter Pyramid.
