49ers Announce Two Signees
Moore and Osunbor Sign Letters

LONG BEACH, CA -- Long Beach State women’s volleyball Head Coach, Brian Gimmillaro announced that two players – Nicole Moore (Lancaster/Highland HS) and Michelle Osunbor (Dallas, TX/Hebron HS) have both signed National Letters-of-Intent to enroll at Long Beach State for the 2008 season.

Moore (6-1, OH) finished her senior campaign with a league leading 173 kills, a .338 hitting percentage, and a 12.4 kills and 4.1 digs per match average. “We’re happy she decided to commit to Long Beach State,” said Gimmillaro. “We felt (coaching staff) last summer during camp that she had the potential to be a good player.”

Osunbor (6-2, MB) is a two-sport athlete at Hebron High School (also played basketball). The Hawks finished the 2006 season tied for first in District 6-5A with an 11-4 league record. Osunbor played one year of varsity volleyball. “When we recruited Michelle we felt that she fit the mold of Long Beach State players of the past – dedicated, determined, and physical,” said Gimmillaro.
