49ers Tied For Second In Oregon

CORVALLIS, OR-- The 49ers men's golf team is tied for second place after two rounds of the 2005 Northwest Collegiate Classic at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, OR. The 49ers shot a combined seven-under-par 281 in the first round and then shot a 280 in the second round for a score of 561. Oregon State, which shot a 285 in the opening round, shot a hot 275 in the second round and leads the team competition with a 560. Washington State is tied for second with the 49ers with a 561.

The 49ers has two golfers who are in the top six after Monday's rounds. Senior Ryan Panichpakdee is tied for third after shooting an eight-under-par 136 (71-65). Junior Ryan Wood is in sixth place with a 138 (70-68). James Logeman is not far behind after shooting a one-under 143 (70-73), tying him for 18th place. The overall individual leader is Oregon State's Vincent Johnson who shot an 11-under 133 (67-66).

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
