Hagos Finishes 17th at NCAA High Jump

Hagos Unable to Qualify for Finals SACRAMENTO, CA-- Making his first appearance in the NCAA Championships, Long Beach State senior Haben Hagos (Los Angeles) finished tied for 17th place with a high jump of 6'10.75". Hagos began the day reaching the intitial height of 6'8.75" on his second attempt, before reaching 6'10.75" on his final attempt. Hagos though, was unable to fly past 7'0.25", which would have been a career-best, on three attempts, ending a chance at a berth into the finals. Temmate and roommate Ronald Carter will compete in the triple jump preliminaries starting on Friday. |
