Jamison Named First Team All-American Jamison, the former eighth round pick of the Mets (2004), is second all-time in saves with 26 and is just the second 49er ever to eclipse 100 career appearances (101). Last year the righthander was named a third team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association. The senior is also a candidate for Stopper of the Year, given by the NCBWA to college's top closer. For the sixth-straight week the No. 11-ranked Dirtbags (36-19) lead the nation in ERA at 2.42. They close out the season Wednesday at USC, before awaiting the NCAA playoffs beginning on June 3. First Team: |
