Cuthbert-Allen Finishes in Sixth Place IRVINE, CA-- Jaime Cuthbert-Allen finished in sixth place at the Big West Championship Heptathlon with a personal-best 4577 points. Cuthbert-Allen, who was in sixth place after day one, picked up 778 points in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:23.36 and 589 points in the long jump after leaping to a distance of 16'9.25". LBSU was awarded three points for the finish. Tyson Gray was able to move up from last place to ninth on the second day of the decathlon, finishing with 5672 points. Gray earned 746 points from a 15.88, 110-meter hurdle time and 610 points from a 4:51.44, 1500-meter time. Idaho swept through both multi-events with Manuela Kurrat scoring 5614 points in the heptathlon and Jereme Richardson winning the decathlon with 7059 points. The majority of the conference championships, hosted by UC Irvine, begins on Friday and continues through Saturday. |
