Deardorff Named Track Athlete of the Week IRVINE, CA-- Long Beach State sprinter Charlene Deardorff (San Jose) was named the Big West Conference's Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 100-meter dash and finishing second in the 200-meter at the Big West Challenge this past weekend. Deardorff's time of 11.73 in the 100-meter currently leads the Big West and was also an NCAA Regional qualifying mark. Her time of 24.45 in the 200-meter placed her second. This is Deardorff's first conference honor, having qualified for the conference championships in each of her three seasons. |
