49ers In 4th Place At Edean Ihlanfeldt Invite

SAMMAMISH, WA-- The Long Beach State women's golf team currently holds down fourth place with a score of 615 after two rounds of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at the Sahalee Country Club. The No. 30-ranked 49ers shot a 309 in Tuesday's second round, the fifth-best total round of the day. Long Beach is 20 shots off tournament leader Arizona State, which shot a 595 (300-295) overall, including a 295 today. No. 9-ranked Pepperdine is currently in second place with a 601 and No. 11-ranked UNLV is third at 607.
Individually, junior Beth Holtermann is tied for sixth place overall with a six-over-par 150 (73-77). Kira Murashige is tied for 21st with a 154 (82-72), after shooting an impressive 72 on Tuesday. All-American Kay Hoey is tied for 32nd place with a 155 (75-80). The overall tournament leader is Arizona State's Jennifer Osborn, who checks in with a two-under-par 142 (73-69).
