31 Niners Named Academic All-Conference Track and Field Garners 16 Student-Athletes With 3.2 GPAs or Higher
June 17, 2004 IRVINE, CA-- Long Beach State athletics had 31 student-athletes named to various academic all-conference squads for the spring seasons, highlighted by 16 athletes from the track and field program. Women's tennis (Big West) and women's water polo (Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) followed with four athletes, while softball had three players named. Each golf team had two athletes named academic All-Big West. To be eligible for the honor, students must have a cumulative 3.2 GPA, have competed in 50% of the team's contests and have completed a full semester at Long Beach State.
