Hildebrand Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District
May 27, 2004 EUGENE, OR – Tyler Hildebrand, of the Long Beach State men's volleyball team, was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII Men's At-Large Second Team, as voted on by CoSIDA members on Thursday.
Hildebrand (Mesa, AZ), who carries a 3.43 cumulative GPA, led Long Beach State to the national championship match earlier this month, while averaging 14.17 assists per game. Hildebrand also garnered 1st Team AVCA All-American and MPSF 1st Team All-Conference honors this season. He set the sophomore single-season record for assists (1,774) and ranks third all-time in assists at The Beach with 3,367. Hildebrand was one of only two sophomores on All-District Team. His major is undeclared.
The "At-Large" team encompasses the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling. Voting CoSIDA members are from the District VIII Region states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawai'i, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
