Lefler Does it Again, Wins Athlete of the Week IRVINE, CA--Senior javelin thrower Doug Lefler picked up his third Big West Field Athlete of the Week honor after an incredible performance in front of his family in his home state of Montana. Lefler won the Montana Last Chance Qualifier, broke the school-record, and qualified for the Olympic Trials with a throw of 231'08". Lefler is the first 49er trackster to earn this many Big West Honors and currently ranks 15th in the nation. He will go for the conference title this weekend at the Big West Championships. |
