Beach 3rd After Two Rounds At Big West Meet
Two 49ers Tied For 3rd Place

MISSION VIEJO, CA-- The Long Beach State women's golf team is in third place after two rounds of the 2004 Big West Conference Women's Golf Championships being held at Tijeras Creek Golf Course in Mission Viejo. The Beach shot a 312 in the opening round and followed that with a 315 for a two-round score of 627. CS Northridge leads the team competition with a 614 and UC Irvine is in second at 618. CS Northridge is the defending conference champions.

Two 49ers shot a 153 and are currently tied for third place. Marie Louise Juul (77-76) and Bolee Kim (77-76) are 14 shots behind individual leader Elizabeth Allen of CS Northridge who shot a 139 (67-72). Beth Holtermann is tied for 12th place with a 160 (77-83).

The final round will be played on Tuesday.
