Beach Sign Three for 2004 Tovar, Goldberg and Goes Head to the 49ers

LONG BEACH, CA-- Long Beach State Head Women's Soccer Coach Peter Reynaud announced today that forward Elena Tovar (Madera, CA/Madera HS) and midfielders Hillary Goldberg (Woodbridge, CA/Lodi HS) and Kelli Goes (Manteca, CA/East Union HS) have signed National Letters of Intent.
Tovar was named the Tri-City Athletic Conference's Player of the Year in 2003, scoring a team-high 29 goals. She was a first team selection as a senior and a second team All-TCAC pick as a junior. Tovar was also a member of the U14 and U16 Olympic Development teams.
Goldberg, a four-year lettermen in soccer was named All-San Joaquin Conference in each of the past two seasons. The three-year captain led her team to a first place crown in 2003 and to a second place finish in the SJC in 2002. She was second on the squad in scoring as a senior.
Goes lettered three years in soccer, earning first team all-league honors as both a junior and a senior. She was the team's MVP behind 17 goals in 2003 and was the team's offensive MVP with 14 goals as a junior.
Goldberg, Tovar and Goes all played together for the San Juan Spirits Club Team.
