Men FInish 11th, Women 12th at MPSF

Men 11th, Women 12th at MPSF SEATTLE, WA--The Beach track and field team concluded its indoor season with two All-Conference honorees and a solid team performance as the men's team finished 11th and the women finished 12th overall. "We beat or tied our rank coming into MPSF in 14 of the 18 events we had athletes entered in," said Head Coach Andy Sythe. "It's so hard to score when there is so much great competition, but we are pleased with how solid our athletes performed." Holly Lipscomb was the highest finisher for The Beach on Saturday, placing sixth overall in the triple jump with a leap of 38'08.75". Jasmine Tolbert also made the finals in the triple jump, but finished out of a scoring position with a 10th place finish and a mark of 37'11.25". Serena Boykin finished eight overall with a throw of 49'02.50" in the shot put, while teammate Kristina Price finished 14th with a throw of 44'02.00". John Temidara, coming off an All-Conference finish in the high jump on Friday, improved his season-best mark in the triple jump to 48'08.00", finishing eighth overall. Ronald Carter finished 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 48'05.25". "We are ready and looking forward to the outdoor season, and know that we will be putting some top marks out in the conference," said Sythe. |
