Beach Finishes 9th At Opening Tournament
Freshman Bolee Kim Ties For 14th Place
September 16, 2003 SUNRIVER, OR-- The Long Beach State women's golf team finished tied for ninth place at the season-opening Oregon State Invitational at the Woodlands Golf Course in Sunriver, OR. The Beach shot a three-round total of 947 (315-315-317) over the two-day event. UNLV won the team title with a 905, while TCU came in second at 917.
Individually, freshman Bolee Kim tied for 14th place overall with a 231 (79-74-78). Sophomore Hayley Wilkinson shot a team-best round of 76 on Tuesday and finished with a 234, tying for 21st place. Senior Marie Louise Juul tied for 30th with a 237. Winning the individual championship was TCU's Brooke Tull who shot a 219 (74-70-75). Kristi Larsen of USF was second with a 220 (78-74-68).
The 49ers will next be in action on October 6-8 when they participate in the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, WA.
