49ers Sign Lucian Graham Texas Star Inks Financial Aid Agreement
September 10, 2003 LONG BEACH, CA-- Long Beach State Head Men's Basketball Coach Larry Reynolds announced that Lucian Graham (Houston, TX) has signed a Financial Aid Agreement with the 49ers. Graham (F, 6-7, 207) attended Fort Union Military Academy in Fort Union, VA last academic year. He played in just a handful of games on the season due to an injury and will be a true freshman in 2003 for the 49ers.
Graham graduated from Westbury Christian High School in May, 2002 where he played one season of basketball. He averaged 18.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game and was selected first team All-State, first team all-City and first team all-District. Westbury Christian went 29-10 that season and earned a #20 national ranking by USA Today. Westbury Christian won league, district, regional and sectional titles in 2002 and advanced to the state championship game, falling to Grace Prep in the championship. Graham was a teammate of Ndudi Ebi, a lottery pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2003 NBA Draft. His senior season he shot .600 from the field and .501 from three-point range, plus he also averaged averaged 2.2 steals and 1.5 blocks per outing. Graham attended Bellaire High School as a junior where he averaged 13.3 points per game. He spent his freshman and sophomore years attending high school in Venezuela.. |
