Valentin Arriaga was promoted to Assistant Director of Facilities, Operations and Event Management at Long Beach State in 2026 following three years of work within the department. Arriaga previously worked as a facilities and operations supervisor, coordinating logistical aspects of athletic events across Long Beach State’s 19 Division I programs.

A double graduate from Long Beach State, Arriaga earned a bachelor’s degree in 2022 before completing a MA in Sport Management in May of 2024. Prior to his time at the Beach, Arriaga worked as a soccer referee and a manager at SoFive Soccer Center as well as working as a Guest Services representative and lead at the Dignity Health Sports Park, home of the LA Galaxy.
