Tony Soares has been on campus with Beach Sports Properties , a division of Learfield, since October of 2011. Beach Sports Properties oversees the corporate partnerships for Long Beach State Athletics. During that time, Beach Sports Properties has been able to sign long term strategic partnerships with MemorialCare, the Port of Long Beach, the Long Beach Airport and many other local companies.

Prior to arriving on campus, Soares worked with two minor league teams in Long Beach, serving as President of both the ECHL Long Beach Ice Dogs and the Golden Baseball League’s Long Beach Armada. Before transitioning to the sports industry, Soares practiced law in both the State of California and the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Born and raised in Canada, Soares attended both the University of Windsor and the University of Alberta, receiving a B.A (History) and an LLB (Law) degree. Soares resides with his wife Lisa in Orange County.
