Long Beach State has added program legend Taylor Hagenah as an assistant coach prior to the 2027 season.

The three-time All-American as the AVCA Pairs National Champion in the fall of 2026, and along with her partner Malia Gementera holds multiple program records, including the career pairs win record of 119 in addition to the single-season wins record of 34.

Winner of the 2025 Big West Pair of the Year, Hagenah was a four-time First Team All-Big West selection, a program first, and was a three-time AVCA Top-Flight Award winner. Over her career, Hagenah went 90-24 in the top flight for Long Beach State, leading the Beach to a pair of the Big West Championships and four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.

Hagenah continues to play professionally in addition to her coaching duties with Long Beach State.
