Matthew Coleman joined the Athletics Communications team in August 2025 as the Athletic Communications Assistant working primarily with Women’s Tennis and Beach Volleyball.
He earned his B.A. in Journalism from Long Beach State, where he served as assistant sports editor for the campus newspaper, the Long Beach Current, and published more than 120 articles. In June 2024, he was recognized as a finalist for “Best Sports Writing” at the Los Angeles Press Club Awards.
From 2023 to 2025, Coleman interned in the Marketing and Content departments for Beach Athletics.
