Jack Noel joined Long Beach State in October 2025 as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach and Internship Coordinator. He works directly with the Men’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, and Women’s Tennis programs, designing and implementing comprehensive strength and conditioning programs to optimize athletic performance and minimize injury risk.

Before arriving in Long Beach, Noel served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) in Anaheim, where he was designated to work with Men’s and Women’s Indoor Volleyball and Women’s Water Polo. His experience supporting elite-level athletes at the Olympic level helped shape his evidence-based and high-performance training philosophy.

Prior to his time with the USOPC, Noel was the Head of Sports Performance at Cal State San Bernardino, overseeing all 10 athletic programs. Under his leadership, the Coyotes captured three NCAA West Region Championships (Men’s Basketball in 2023 and 2024, Baseball in 2023), five conference regular-season titles, and four conference tournament championships across Men’s Basketball and Women’s Volleyball. His impact was also reflected in the development of multiple All-Americans during his tenure.

Noel earned his Master of Science degree from California State University, Fullerton in 2020, where he served as Lead Sports Scientist for the Men’s Soccer program and as a strength and conditioning intern while also gaining experience in the private and high school sectors.

He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and holds a USA Weightlifting Level 2 (USAW-L2) certification.

Originally from Southern California, Jack and his fiancée live in Huntington Beach. In his spare time, he enjoys playing beach volleyball and pickleball and can often be found with a hot cup of coffee in hand.
