Cianna Smith-Andrews is a dedicated Communications Specialist based in Bellflower, CA, whose passion for sports, media, and storytelling has shaped her career in collegiate athletics. With extensive experience at Cal State Dominguez Hills, she played a key role in managing game-day operations, NCAA statistics entry, broadcast production for the CCAA/FloSports Network, and the creation of digital content across multiple platforms. Her work ranged from writing game recaps and coordinating media relations to overseeing social media strategy and guiding student staff in developing skills in sports communication.

Before joining CSUDH, Cianna served in Athletics Communications at Sacramento State, where she worked as the ESPN+ color analyst for indoor volleyball, produced written coverage for beach volleyball, and managed team social media using real-time highlights and statistical storytelling.

Cianna is also a former NCAA Division I volleyball athlete, competing for Sacramento State from 2017–2021. Her experience as a student-athlete strengthens her understanding of team culture, competitive environments, and the importance of athlete-centered communication.

Raised in a close-knit family, Cianna is the daughter of Chelsea Smith and the sister to both an older and younger sibling—relationships that ground and inspire her. Whether on the sidelines, supporting media operations, or helping tell the stories behind the game, she brings intention and passion to every role she takes on.
