Bobbi Evans-Santiago is an accomplished student-athlete services professional with extensive experience supporting NCAA Division I student-athletes through academic advising, eligibility certification, admissions, and holistic student development. Prior to joining California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), he served as an Athletic Academic Advisor and Learning Specialist at California State University, Bakersfield, supporting student-athletes across multiple sports, including men's and women's basketball, soccer, wrestling, softball, golf, volleyball, and beach volleyball. Throughout his career, he has collaborated closely with coaches, compliance officers, faculty, and campus partners to promote academic success, retention, and timely graduation while ensuring adherence to NCAA and conference regulations. In addition to his advising responsibilities, he served as a member of the CSUB Athletics Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee from 2022 to 2024, contributing to initiatives that fostered an inclusive and supportive environment for student-athletes.
Bobbi holds a Master of Science in Counseling in Student Affairs from California State University, Bakersfield, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Illinois State University, with minors in Criminal Justice and Middle Eastern & South Asian Studies. He combines counseling expertise with a strong commitment to student success, equity-minded practices, and student advocacy. His work emphasizes holistic support, helping student-athletes navigate academic planning, transitions to college, campus resources, and personal development throughout their collegiate experience. Passionate about fostering student growth, belonging, and educational attainment, he is dedicated to advancing the academic, personal, and athletic success of student-athletes through collaborative leadership, advocacy, and student-centered support.
