RODGER DUBBS - a 30+ year career serving as a dedicated USA Track & Field official, he began officiating in 1986 and has been a loyal participant in Long Beach State home meets ever since. Roger is one of our very best, and represents the quality of officiating we see from all our great officials in the Southern California Association.

DIXON FARMER - the voice of the Beach Invitational every year since it’s inception. Aside from his long service as the announcer for Long Beach State home meets, he has 35+ years of announcing experience that includes USATF championships and NCAA events at all levels ranging from D1 to NAIA.

BOB HICKEY - retired from USA Track & Field officiating in 2018 after 43 years of dedicated service.  He began officiating in 1975 and his career spanned 43 years.  His officiating credits not only include the Beach Invitational, but the Olympic Games. Bob is a great example of the quality of officiating that the Southern California Association continues to produce.

RICHARD McQUARRIE - the USA Track & Field So. Cal Association Commissioner for Long Beach meets when the Beach Invitational began. This events first commissioner began officiating in 1969.  His decades of service as an official included the Olympic Trials and the 1984 and 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Coaches and Athletes alike respected him as he was a fair, honest and hardworking Official.  Although “MAC” is no longer with us, we celebrate the significance of his role in helping shape the Beach Invitational into the meet it is today.

CINDY MASNER - since the start of the Beach Invitational over 25 years ago, Cindy Masner’s guiding hand has helped shape the growth and improvement of this great event.  She also oversaw the Capital improvements that include the multi-million-dollar renovation of the Jack Rose Track these athletes compete on here today.  Her tireless energy and drive have led to countless improvements for the benefit of Long Beach State student-athletes as well as the participating teams at the Beach Invitational.
